GAZA, (PIC)-- Khaled Al-Batesh, a senior Islamic Jihad official, said Monday that after the Qalqiliya events, it became clear that the PA security apparatuses do not target Hamas alone but all the Palestinian resistance factions.

During a political seminar organized by Hamas and the high committee for the commemoration of Nakba (catastrophe or the usurpation of Palestine by Zionist gangs) in Gaza, Batesh stressed that the Palestinian people strongly reject the practices of the PA security apparatuses which relinquished the Palestinian rights and constants through its collaboration with the Israeli occupation authority against the resistance.

For his part, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said that his Movement would not forsake the blood of its cadres killed by the American General Keith Dayton trained PA security apparatuses.

Spokesman Abu Zuhri underlined that the visit of Khaled Mishaal, the head of the Hamas political bureau, to Cairo was intended for urging Egypt to pressure the PA in Ramallah to stop its persistent violations against the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank.

Head of the high committee for the commemoration of Nakba Hossam Ahmed also strongly denounced the PA security apparatuses’ practices against the resistance, highlighting that upholding the right of return and the resistance is the path to legitimacy and waiving the Palestinian rights and constants is a departure from this legitimacy.

Spokesman for the popular resistance committees Abu Mujahid underscored that the committees support Hamas in the face of Dayton’s security apparatuses, adding the silence of other resistance factions towards the attempts to eliminate Hamas means that they would be the next target.

Spokesman Abu Mujahid warned the PA security apparatuses of their persistence in targeting the Palestinian resistance and vowed to retaliate strongly against the PA violations.

In the context of PA escalating campaigns against the Palestinian resistance, the security apparatuses under the command of ex-PA chief Mahmoud Abbas and US officer Keith Dayton stormed the home of one of Al-Qassam leaders wanted by Israel called Mohamed Karyoush in Tulkarem refugee camp, north of West Bank, and kidnapped his brother.

The PIC reporter said Wednesday that these security apparatuses kidnapped Anas, the brother of Mohamed Karyoush, and severely beat him, adding that they also raided other homes around.

One of PA security officers in Tulkarem Mesbah Al-Baba had admitted in a press statement that Abbas’s security apparatuses combed the refugee camp in search of a Palestinian resistance fighter affiliated with Al-Qassam.

Abbas’s security apparatuses reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday four Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas in Tulkarem after raids on their homes.

In Ramallah, a large number of Abbas’s security elements stormed Wednesday evening the UNRWA-affiliated college of Dar Al-Mualimeen and conducted a thorough search in the college’s hostel before rounding up 17 students of Hamas student bloc.

PA intelligence elements had spoiled a graduation ceremony held at this college five days ago when they stormed the ceremony violently and confiscated the shields and certificates prepared for the graduates.

The PA intelligence also kidnapped on Wednesday Dr. Farid Abu Duheir, a professor of media at the Najah university in Nablus, from his home in Al-Ma’ajeen neighborhood.

Dozens of armed intelligence men stormed Abu Duheir’s home and physically assaulted him along with his 19-year-old son Bara’a.

These security apparatuses also tried to kidnap Dr. Mohamed Ghazal from his home in Nablus, but they failed and handed his family a summons.

It was also reported that Abbas’s security apparatuses kidnapped about 19 of Hamas cadres on Wednesday and closed a jewelry shop belonging to a Palestinian citizen imprisoned in PA jails in Nablus.

Hamas prisoners: The PA security became more dangerous than the occupation

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Prisoners of Hamas in Israeli jails stated that the PA security apparatuses in the West Bank became more dangerous to the Palestinian cause and resistance than the Israeli occupation, calling on Egypt, in its capacity as the broker of the Palestinian dialog, to halt the PA escalations in the West Bank.

In a statement leaked from Israeli jails and a copy of which was received Wednesday by the PIC, Hamas prisoners said that the recent raids and political arrests carried out by the PA security apparatuses in the West Bank especially in Nablus are aimed to abort the Egyptian reconciliation efforts and block any opportunity to end the division.

In a related context, the preventive security and intelligence apparatuses under the command of PA chief Mahmoud Abbas and US officer Keith Dayton kidnapped during the last two days six Palestinians affiliated with Hamas in Tulkarem and physically assaulted two of them.

The PA security apparatuses also kidnapped on Tuesday other 19 Hamas supporters including ex-detainees, national figures and students in the West Bank cities of Al-Khalil, Tulkarem, Nablus, Jenin.

Palestinian sources reported that the preventive security apparatus in Salfit kidnapped at an early hour Wednesday director of Hamas MPs’ office Izz Al-Din Fatash.

The sources added that a number of preventive security elements boarding jeeps and military vehicles stormed the home of Fatash in the city and sparked panic among his family before they rounded him up and took him to an unknown destination.

For their part, the West Bank lawmakers deplored, in a statement, the kidnapping of Fatash and said it is aimed to pressure them.

The lawmakers also noted that their media coordinator in Ramallah Murad Abu Al-Baha has been in PA jails for more than 50 days and is still subjected to excruciating torture.

They stressed that the political arrests became a threat to the Palestinian interests in general and the social fabric in the West Bank in particular, appealing to Egypt to work on ending the political arrest file.
