RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- An official in the Ramallah authority of Mahmoud Abbas has admitted that the dismissal of teachers and preachers in the West Bank was in implementation of the roadmap plan.

The unidentified official was quoted by Israeli daily Jerusalem Post on Monday as saying that his authority had sacked more than a thousand teachers and 300 preachers in implementation of the article banning "incitement" in the roadmap plan.

He added that the Ramallah government on certain occasions fired teachers for refusing to support Fatah and the PA (in Ramallah) and for being too much religious oriented.

Meanwhile, the militias loyal to Abbas on Tuesday rounded up three Hamas supporters including one of its prominent leaders Dr. Mustafa Al-Shannar after encircling his home in Nablus city.

Local sources said that the lecturer, who was released from Abbas's jails only a few weeks ago, and that he was suffering numerous illnesses.

Abbas militias stormed the home of Abdullah Yassin, a Hamas spokesman in Tulkarem who is held in those militias jails, and wreaked havoc in it. Sources close to his family said that he was subjected to cruel torture at the hands of Abbas' interrogators in Tulkarem.

In Bethlehem, journalist Abdullah Adawi was kidnapped by those militias while on his way to Bir Zeit university where he is studying post graduate studies.

Hamas prisoners in Israeli occupation jails have expressed utter dismay, in a press release on Tuesday, over such detentions.

They asked their leadership in Gaza to adopt appropriate measures to ensure the release of Hamas leaders, cadres and supporters in Abbas's jails.
