GAZA, (PIC)-- A Palestinian fisherman was wounded off the Rafah coast when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) aboard navy boats fired at him on Wednesday, medical sources reported.

Dr. Muawiya Hansanein, the director of ambulance and emergency in the health ministry, told the PIC that the IOF fired at the Palestinian fisherman without prior notice.

He described the fisherman's wounds as "moderate".

Meanwhile, IOF soldiers arrested a Palestinian teen in front of his house in Sheikh Jarrah suburb, in occupied Jerusalem, last night.

The teen's mother said that her son was fixing his bicycle when the soldiers came and took him to the Maskobeh detention center.

In Al-Khalil, IOF troops severely beat up a Palestinian young man near the Ibrahimi Mosque in downtown Al-Khalil, local sources told the PIC, adding that the youth was carried to Al-Khalil hospital.

IOF tanks shell central, southern Gaza

GAZA, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired tank shells at eastern Khan Younis, south of Gaza Strip, and Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza, at a late hour on Tuesday, local sources said.

They told the PIC reporter that the shelling followed the Palestinian resistance's engagement of an IOF unit that sneaked into the area.

The sources said that the IOF fired at least 10 tank shells that all fell in agricultural land with no casualties reported.

The shelling was coupled with over flights of IOF helicopter gunships to give cover for the withdrawal of the unit.

For its part, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, the Quds Brigades, said that its fighters detected the IOF special forces and clashed with them.
