Bardaweel: isolating Gaza is a joint goal for all those besieging it

Connect the Dots:

  • Zionist Right: Knesset speaker Reuven Rivlin, and former defense minister Moshe Arens, both Likud party, and prominent activists among West Bank settler movement, embrace “Jewish Bi-national” State! (Apartheid solution) under the slogan of one state solution,
  • Avigdor Lieberman, the foreign minister of the Israeli occupation, offered to totally disengage from the Strip and to deal with it as an independent entity.
  • Zionist Left: Hanan Porat, one of the founders of Gush Emunim and supporters of the binational state idea:
"In my view, every Arab has three options. First, those who want an Arab state and are ready to implement that goal by means of terrorism and a struggle against the state, have no place in the Land of Israel. Second, those who accept their place [as subhumans] and accept Jewish sovereignty [reads supremacy] but do not want to take part in the state and fulfill all their obligations, can be considered residents and enjoy full human rights, but not political representation in the state's institutions.
  • Listen also to Likud MK Tzipi Hotovely who organized a conference in the Knesset titled "Alternatives to Two States”, and has called publicly for citizenship to be granted to the Palestinians "in gradual fashion" - (TRAITORS FIRST)
  • Abbas puuting the blame on Hamas.

Bardaweel: isolating Gaza is a joint goal for all those besieging it

GAZA, (PIC)-- MP Salah Al-Bardaweel of Hamas Movement said on Thursday that his Movement will never abandon its big issue that is the liberation of Palestine from the Israeli occupation, and will never accept for the Gaza Strip to be isolated from the rest of the homeland.

Bardaweel's remarks came in press statements he made in reaction to the "deceptive" proposal of Avigdor Lieberman, the foreign minister of the Israeli occupation, who offered to totally disengage from the Strip and to deal with it as an independent entity.

"In the first moment the proposal was made public, we, in Hamas, have expressed our point of view regarding it and said that the Israeli occupation is being deceitful, and we have made it clear that our issue is bigger than easing the siege on Gaza, and that our ultimate goal is to liberate the entire Palestinian lands from the Israeli occupation", Bardaweel elaborated.

The Hamas official added, "Neither Lieberman nor anyone else could divide the Palestinian people through appeasing them with easing the siege on Gaza and the West Bank", explaining that many Europeans have also rejected Lieberman proposal.

However, Bardaweel accused Fatah faction of deceiving the Palestinian people by trying to market its lies that Hamas had participated in the idea of isolating the Gaza Strip from the rest of occupied Palestine.
"It seems that Fatah faction that divided the Palestinian people on the ground through aborting the Palestinian legitimacy, participated in the siege on Gaza, and coordinated with the Israeli occupation in security matters and against the Palestinian resistance was indeed the one that slaughtered the Palestinian issue, and thus it is trying now to accuse Hamas of accepting Lieberman plan although it profoundly believe that Hamas is a resistance project that would never accept such harmful schemes.

Moreover, Bardaweel underlined that the isolation of Gaza was a joint objective for all those participating in besieging it since 2006, and thus they are trying to finish off the democratic choice of the Palestinian people; but we will keep on resisting the unjust siege with all political, diplomatic, and media means, and to preserve the Gaza Strip as an inseparable part of the occupied Palestine.

When asked on whether Egypt banned Hamas elements from crossing the Rafah crossing point, Bardaweel acknowledged that there was an Egyptian restriction on anyone affiliated with Hamas, even patients, to cross the borders, but he said that his Movement didn’t receive any official communication from the Egyptian side in this regard.

Nevertheless, Bardaweel belittled the ability of the repressive siege of twisting Hamas's arm or forcing it to bow to the Israeli demands, saying, "If the siege was meant to gauge Hamas's pulse that it might abandon its principles, we tell them that Hamas would remain patient and steadfast to the farthest point".

"We will never give up Yafa, Haifa, or a grain of soil of the Palestinian land, and we have paid a high price for that principle, so all those thinking that Hamas might be satisfied with the Gaza Strip are indeed dreaming", Bardaweel underscored.
