Syrian Army Eliminates Dozens of Terrorists in Many Provinces

Syrian Army units on Friday continued operations in a number of provinces, killing and injuring dozens of ISIL and al-Nusra Front terrorists and obliterating their hideouts and weaponry.

Deir Ezzor

Army units killed numbers of ISIL terrorists to the east of Deir Ezzor military airport, al-Mrei’iyeh, Hweijet al-Mrei’iyeh and around the gas pipeline and al-Taim field to the east and southeast of Deir Ezzor city, field sources told SANA on Thursday.

An army unit killed 25 ISIL terrorists in the vicinity of al-Tharda Mountain and destroyed a vehicle equipped with a Dushka machinegun and a 23 mm cannon mounted on a vehicle in southeastern Deir Ezzor.

In al-Jafra village, located on the right bank of the Euphrates river, an army unit thwarted an infiltration attempt by ISIL terrorists and killed five of them.

Four ISIL terrorists were killed as an army unit targeted their hideouts in al-Ummal neighborhood, while a number of others were killed in al-Hweiqeh neighborhood.

Idleb

An army unit killed, in a special operation, at least seven terrorists of al-Nusra terrorist organization (Qaeda branch in Syria)) at the southeastern side of Deir Sonbol village, south of Idleb province.

Field sources told SANA that another army unit killed one of al-Nusra terrorist organization’s leaders called Mohamad Mashrout and a number of his group during a special operation at their positions at the western side of Moua’rat Noaman city in the province.

The sources confirmed killing of the so called leader in the terrorist organization of “Jabhat Thewar Sarqeb” called Rafa’at Abdul Razaq Hammoud and three of his companions in detonation of an explosive device.

Meanwhile, at least 23 terrorists were killed during army operations in against Al-Nusra terrorist organization’ dens and positions in the town of Ehsem.

Latakia

Army units in cooperation with national defense groups established control over al-Zweqat and Zahya mounts and the surrounding areas in Latakia’s northern countryside.

Meanwhile, the Syrian army air force targeted terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations in Dweir al-Akrad, al-Sheikh Yousef, Jabal al-Katf and Jabal Abu Hiddo.

Scores of terrorists, including of al-Nusra, were killed in the process and their hideouts and fortifications were destroyed.

Daraa

Army units ambushed terrorist groups in northern countryside Daraa Province, killing and injuring 15 of them.

Field sources told SANA that the army ambushed al-Nusra terrorists on al-Sheikh Miskeen-Enkhel road, killing and injuring 15 of them and destroying a number of their vehicles.

Meanwhile, terrorist groups acknowledged on their social media pages that a number of terrorists, including Ahed Mohammad al-Hawamda- leader of the so-called “al-Khulafa al-Rashideen Battalion” terrorist group, were killed in al-Sheikh Miskeen area.

The army also destroyed a terrorists’ vehicle in al-Abassyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad, and killed and injured a number of terrorists.
