Syrian Arab Army kills/injures Daesh and al-Qaeda affiliated terrorists in the areas of Quneitra, Hama, Deir Ezzour
13 June 2016 ~ Syrian Arab Army units on Monday eliminated a number of Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS terrorists and injured others in several areas around the country.
Quneitra
A field source said that an army unit, in cooperation with popular defense groups, clashed with groups of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists which attacked a military post in Tal al-Hamiriya to the south of Hadar village.
The clashes ended up with killing and injuring a number of al-Nusra terrorists, forcing others to flee and destroying the weaponry in their procession.
Hama
Army units carried out military operations against ISIS terrorists’ dens and movement axes in the eastern countryside of Hama central province, destroying vehicles equipped with machineguns and laden with weapons, and killing seven terrorists in the vicinity of al-Uqeirbat town.
A military source said that many ISIS terrorists were killed and their weapons destroyed in a military operation against their gatherings in al-Rweida village in the countryside of al-Salamiya area.
Deir Ezzor
Units of the army and armed forces destroyed ISIS dens in Deir Ezzor city and the vicinity of Jabal al-Sha’er in concentrated operations against their fortified positions in the neighborhoods of al-Reshdia and al-tharda.
A field source told SANA that an army unit precisely fired ISIS gatherings in Hweijat Saqer Sharqi, destroying ISIS fortified centers, killing and injuring a number of Takfiri terrorists.
Army units killed 15 ISIS terrorists in the last two days and destroyed their weapons and ammunition-loaded vehicles in al-Reshdia neighborhood, in the vicinity of al-Tharda mount and the village of Ayash.
Daesh vehicles destroyed in Raqqa, many Jabhat al-Nusra mercenary-terrorists killed in Hama
12 June 2016 ~ Syrian Arab Army units, backed by the Air Force, continued targeting positions of terrorist organizations in various areas across the country, killing more of their members and destroying a number of their dens and vehicles.
Raqqa
The Syrian army’s air force targeted gatherings and positions of ISIS terrorists near al-Rasafa city in the countryside of Raqqa province.
The strikes hit convoys of vehicles, some of which are armored and others equipped with machineguns, in the vicinity of al-Rasafa crossroads, a military source told SANA on Sunday.
Damascus Countryside
An army unit foiled an attempt by an ISIS terrorist group to attack a military post to the southeast of Arenbeh Hill in the vicinity of al-Badyia (desert) in the eastern part of Damascus countryside.
Darayya, Western Ghouta, Damascus countryside
The clashes with the terrorists ended with thwarting the attack and killing or injuring many of the terrorists, in addition to destroying two vehicles laden with big amounts of explosives and five others equipped with machineguns.
Hama
An army unit killed 12 Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists as it targeted their gathering in Morek town in the northern countryside of Hama province.
Two vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns were also destroyed in the operation.
Other army units clashed with terrorist groups linked to Jabhat al-Nusra who infiltrated into the surroundings of a number of military posts in the northern countryside of Hama, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

The Syrian Army advances on al-Rasafa in Raqqa, shoots down a drone for Daesh mercenary-terrorists
11 June 2016 ~ Army units have killed many ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists as they continued their operations against the two organizations’ positions in various areas.

Army units in cooperation with the popular defense groups have advanced in Raqqa countryside, inflicting losses upon the ranks of ISIS terrorists whose positions have received direct strikes.
After establishing control over the oil pumping station and electricity station of al-Tabqa city in addition to two oil fields in the western countryside of Raqqa, the army has continued advancing and swiftly established control over areas where ISIS terrorists spread in Harbiyat and Anbaj villages, a military source told SANA on Saturday.
Having advanced that far, the army units are now only 6 km from al-Rasafa area after they have already secured a 57 km long area extending between Atherya near Hama and al-Rasafeh in the eastern Badiya (desert), the source said.
It added that “al-Safih Triangle” that is located near al-Habbari field has now been under the army’s full control after the remaining gatherings of ISIS terrorists were eliminated before the rest fled the area.
A drone for ISIS terrorists was shot down while it was trying to monitor the army’s movement towards the eastern Badiya to hinder its advance, the source noted.
Deir Ezzor
Units of the army and armed forces killed 15 ISIS terrorists and injured others in al-Reshdia neighborhood, vicinity of al-Tharda mount and Ayash villge in the Deir Ezzor city and its countryside during the last hours, a field source told SANA reporter.
The source added that an army unit destroyed an ammunition and weapons-loaded vehicle for ISIS at the vicinity of Tharda mount at the southern side of the city.
Tens of ISIS terrorists, including foreigners, were killed in the last few days in several areas of Deir Ezzor province by army units which also destroyed a number of ISIS heavy machine gun-equipped vehicles.

Army units carried out military operations against Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the southern Daraa province, destroying some of their fortifications and gatherings to the south of al-Kark roundabout in Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood and to the south of al-Menshiyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area.
The source added that another army unit clashed with a Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group that attempted to infiltrate into the vicinity of a military post in Daraa al-Mahatta, killing or injuring most of the group’s members.
Defense Ministers of Syria, Iran and Russia met in Tehran to discuss issues related to combating terrorism [in Syria and the region]
Tehran, 10 June 2016 ~ Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani affirmed the necessity of military coordination between Syria, Iran and Russia in fighting against Takfiri terrorism, expressing his satisfaction over the results of the tripartite meeting which gathered the defense ministries of the three countries.
On Thursday, Defense Ministers of Syria, Iran and Russia met in Tehran to discuss issues related to combating terrorism in Syria and the region.
During his meeting with Defense Minister Fahd Jassem al-Freij on Friday, Shamkhani said that ” Iran, Russia and Syria are further activating their political capacities more than before to reach an all-inclusive strategy to stop war and bloodshed in Syria.”
Shamkhani noted that Iran will continue to support Syria to root out the terrorist groups, adding that “Today, Syria is the battle ground against a very dangerous sedition, which would spread across the world if not stemmed.”
In his meeting with Freij, the Iranian official hailed the continuous victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army and the backed forces, including the liberation of different areas from terrorist militants.
The political and nonconstructive attitude to the crisis in Syria by the U.S. and its allies increased the political and military tensions
Shamkhani said “a political and nonconstructive attitude” to the crisis in Syria by the US and its allies in the West and the region increased the political and military tensions in Syria.
“Backing terrorist groups and at the same time introducing political initiatives as a solution to the crisis is an obvious contradiction which has put the sincerity of these countries into question,” he said.
Shamkhani underlined the need to continue the Syrian-Syrian talks to reach a political solution that all Syrians agreed upon to settle the crisis there.
For his part, al-Freij expressed Syria’s thanks to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Iranian government and to the Iranian people for standing by the Syrians in their struggles against terrorism, adding that the Syrian People and government are determined on combating terrorists till eliminating them.
He described the Tehran meeting as “very successful” and said the three sides are set to further enhance their cooperation on the fight against terrorism.
The meeting was attended by the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran Dr. Adnan Mahmoud.

10 June 2016 ~ Army and Armed Forces units on Friday established control over new areas in Raqqa province and inflicted heavy losses on ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor province.
Raqqa
(10/6/2016) ~ Army units established control over new areas in the western countryside of Raqqa after eliminating the last ISIS gatherings in the area and destroying tens of its vehicles, according to a military source.
The source added that army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over al-Rasafa crossroads, the strategic triangle, the oil pumping station and al-Tabka electricity station.
The source pointed out that the army units have developed their operations on more than one axis in the area and cut off ISIS supply routes after destroying tens of heavy-equipped vehicles and killing large numbers of ISIS members.

(9/6/2016) ~ Army units clashed with terrorist groups affiliated to ISIS terrorist organization in the vicinity of al-Tharda Mountain on the southern sides of Deir Ezzor, a field source told SANA on Wednesday.
The clashes resulted in killing scores of ISIS terrorists and escaping the rest leaving some bodies of killed terrorists behind.
A tanker and BMB vehicle and three vehicles equipped with heavy machinegun were destroyed during the clash.
Among the dead terrorists the Saudis Abu al-Baraa al-Jazrawi and Abu al-Hareth al-Jazrawi, in addition to Abu Qudama al-Yamani, Abu Ya’la al-Yamani, Abu Qais al-Shami, Abu al-Zubair al-Shami, Bilal al-Hamed and Ahmad al-Alo.
A mortar launcher for ISIS terrorists was destroyed in a precise military operation against their gatherings in Hweijet Saqer southeast of Deir Ezzor city.

(10/6/2016) ~ An army unit targeted gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists near Ein Hussein village in the northern countryside of the central Homs province.
The terrorists suffered heavy losses, as some of them were killed or injured and a vehicle was destroyed, according to a military source.
(9/6/2016) ~ Units of the army destroyed vehicles and dens of ISIS terrorists in Homs eastern countryside.
A military source told SANA that units of the army, in cooperation with popular defense groups, struck dens of ISIS terrorists to the north-east side of Jazal field and near al-Hawadid village in Homs eastern countryside.
The army’s operations ended up with destroying vehicles equipped with heavy machine- guns, a rocket launcher and killing a number of the terrorists.
Damascus countryside
An army unit foiled an attempt by terrorists to infiltrate across a 15- meter deep tunnel to a military checkpoint in Harasta in Damascus countryside.
According to a military source, an army unit managed to storm the tunnel, which is 500 meters long and 160-cm wide that was discovered in Ard al-
Khams area in Harasta, extending towards a military checkpoint.
Scores of explosive devices found inside the tunnel were dismantled, the source said.
An army unit destroyed a vehicle transporting Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Tal al-Dabaa north of Beit Jen farm in Damascus southwestern countryside, a field source said.
